SMS is a member and steering patron of the Innovation Value Institute, a consortium of leading organizations from industry, academia, and the public sector that aims to develop an industry standard for managing IT for business value.

In addition, SMS is a research patron of and engaged in ongoing research with the MIT Sloan School of Management’s Center for Information Systems Research, which strives to build concepts and frameworks that help companies optimize their IT management in an increasingly dynamic business climate.
